In carrying out our legal and advisory services, we maintain sensitivity to and respect for the unique nature and qualities of each client.

Our work supports and furthers business’s responsibility to respect human rights consistent with the International Bill of Human Rights and the principles contained in the International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work as well as the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. In carrying out this work, we assist in identifying current obligations and good practices.

We proceed from the basis that while some businesses have taken steps to implement their respect for human rights, advice and support is needed to further full implementation by business of the corporate responsibility to respect human rights.

We want to help businesses, regardless of their size, nature, or industry, to discover that by taking steps to respect human rights, they are not only doing what is ethically correct, but also are creating a more sustainable business, and are benefiting from the results, including:

  • stable and cooperative relationships with local communities
  • enhanced government, investor and consumer confidence
  • greater employee satisfaction
